Watch the Visionaries Among Us talk
In August I gave a fifteen-minute talk at the ANU Visionaries Among Us Showcase, to a hall of about 360 people. Partway through, ushers handed everyone a search sheet. For four minutes the room ran a language model by show of hands, generating a sentence one word at a time. ANU TV has now put the video on YouTube.
I recut the middle section so the video shows what the room is doing. Alongside the stage, the screen shows the sentence growing on the board and a grid of the sheets. The sheets holding each called-out word light up as the hands go up.
